WATCH | Erendira Wallenda performed a death-defying stunt over Niagara Falls.
Erendira Wallenda made history Thursday after she successfully completed a stunt which involved hanging by her teeth and toes to a hoop dangling out a helicopter as it flew over Niagara Falls.
Erendira Wallenda, 33, is from a renowned family of daredevils who have gained fame for their circus acts and high-risk stunts.
Just five years ago her husband, Nik Wallenda walked across the Niagara Falls on a high wire.
Now, it was Erindira Wallenda's turn to tempt fate.
Erendira Wallenda performed a series of stunts when she was dangling out of the helicopter. She told The Buffalo News before the stunt that she wasn't going to be afraid.
"You can't do what we do and be freaked out," she said. "If you're scared of it, then it becomes dangerous. I respect what I do, but I definitely will be taking in the view. That's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but I'm definitely not fearful."
