Karrueche Tran secured a five-year-restraining order against ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after she testified in court on Thursday, according to TMZ. On the stand, Tran alleged that after she had broke up with the singer, Brown demanded she return the gifts he gave her. When Tran refused, she said that the singer became aggressive.
On the stand, Tran said that Chris would send text messages after their breakup, such as "I'm not being nice to you no more, if I see you out in public again and I'm there I will make you hate me even more, don't be anywhere I'm out in public, I'm going to ban you from all events."
She also claimed that the texts became more violent, including messages such as "I can get my money back and I'm tired of playing game," "Bitch I will beat the shit out of you," and "I promise you I will make your life hell."
Besides violent messages, Tran alleged that Brown also beat her. As a result, she said that she fears for her safety and needs permanent protection.
Though Chris Brown didn't appear in court, his attorney, David Gammill, grilled Tran on cross-examination, saying she had taunted Brown about the rings. Gammill also focused on the fact that Tran never reported any of the alleged behavior to officials.
