Horror fiction extraordinaire Stephen King has become the latest high-profile figure to be added to the #BlockedByTrump list on Tuesday, the Washington Post reported. The best-selling author has been a frequent critic of Trump before and after his January inauguration.
“A Trump presidency scares me more than anything else,” King said during a Washington Post Facebook Live interview. “I’m terrified that he’ll become president.”
Trump has blocked me from reading his tweets. I may have to kill myself.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) June 13, 2017
It's unclear what prompted the immediate Twitter blocking, but it could be related to King's tweet about Trump's Cabinet and daughter Ivanka Trump.
If Ivanka Trump had grown up in farm country, like some of us, she'd know her father is reaping exactly what he sowed.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) June 12, 2017
Fortunately for King, another vocal Trump critic and best-selling author came to his rescue.
Thanks. Maybe it's a hoax. I'm good either way. I'll always have Pence, hahahaha.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) June 13, 2017
Either way, King isn't going to let Trump silence him.
