A sheriff encouraged citizens to stay 'armed at all times' to protect against terrorism

A Florida sheriff posted a video encouraging citizens to be armed at all times in order to protect themselves against the next terrorist or active shooter attack.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey posted a four-minute video urging the public to take self-defense classes and those with concealed weapons permits to carry their guns with them at all times.

The sheriff has been in the law enforcement officer for over three decades.

“This is war, and you better be prepared to wage war to protect you, your family and those around if you're attacked," Ivey said.

The video comes weeks after the London terrorist attacks. Ivey suggested in the video that if a person doesn’t have a permit, then they should consider using a Taser or knife.

Some agreed with Ivey.

Others, not so much.
