WATCH: Kalachandji's, an oasis-like vegetarian restaurant inside a Dallas Hare Krishna temple, has been serving buffet style meals since 1985.
'The cooks are cooking in service to God'
Open to both temple members and the public alike, Kalachandji's infuses its dishes with "bhakti," the Hindu concept of "love and devotion." "We're the only restaurant that uses this ingredient," said Minister Nityananda Chandra Granger.
The menu at Kalachandji's changes constantly, offering dishes from cuisines around the world. Nearly all the dishes are vegan.
Radha Kalachandji's Temple has an active congregation. The temple regularly hosts classes, feasts, lectures and celebrations.
In May, the temple hosted His Holiness Jayapataka Swami as part of its celebration of The Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimadeva.
