A Democratic Senator dropped multiple f-bombs in an anti-Trump speech in New York

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York) was not mincing words on Friday. During a speech in New York, she dropped several F-bombs to express her frustration with the White House and Washington politics.

"Has he kept his promises? No. F--- no,” she said of President Donald Trump while addressing the Personal Democracy Forum in New York City, The Hill reported.

She went on to express growing exasperation with her colleagues in Congress, saying "If we are not helping people, we should go the f--- home."

This isn't the first time Gillibrand has used colorful language in a public setting. In an April interview with New York Magazine she also said lawmakers who aren't helping should "go the f--- home" and described relying on her female colleagues to help get legislation passed saying "“To pass that bill, I first went to my female colleagues and said, ‘How do I do this? I have no f---ing clue.’”

Some on Twitter were not happy about Gillibrand's choice of words.

Some said the criticisms were sexist.

And others cheered on Gillibrand.

Gillibrand is seen as an up and coming star in the Democratic party and many have speculated that she could be a contender for the 2020 nomination.
