Gal Gadot was five months pregnant while shooting scenes for 'Wonder Woman'

Gal Gadot is a whole different kind of superhero in addition to her onscreen role.

Turns out, Gal Gadot was five months pregnant while filming the first major female-directed superhero movie, according to Business Insider. When Gadot came back to do reshoots on the film in November, some CGI had to be used to disguise her burgeoning baby bump.

For the reshoots, the studio had to alter her superhero costume, replacing the bit of her outfit on her stomach with a large green pouch to account for the CGI that would be needed. As Gadot remembers it, it was a silly look.

“On close-up I looked very much like Wonder Woman,” Gadot said. “On wide shots I looked very funny, like Wonder Woman pregnant with Kermit the Frog," said the star.

Director Sally Jenkins had a different take on Gadot's on screen pregnancy.

“Now, at least, we will be able to tell her [new] daughter Maya that she’s in her mom’s stomach right then, in the middle of that battle scene,” said Jenkins.
