An armed man stormed Orlando International Airport, prompting heavy police activity

An armed man has stormed the rental car area on level one of Orlando International Airport Tuesday evening, according to CBS affiliate WKMG. Police have surrounded and contained the area, but all roads leading to the airport have been closed.

There is no information about the type of weapon.

Dozens of police cars can be spotted at OIA.

OIA spokeswoman Carolyn Fennell said that the man is surrounded, but not in custody. She added that it is not an active shooting incident and no shots have been fired.

Officers from the Orlando Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office are at the scene. Passengers have been removed from the area.

In witness video, officers can be heard yelling, "Put it down, bud, put it down" and "We're gonna help you man."
