A man in a Make America Great Again hat got kicked off a flight to chants of 'Lock him up'

A man wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat was kicked off a plane in China after he refused to let anyone sit next to him and would not comply with crew instructions, the Orlando Sentinel reported

"He wanted to sit in the whole row by himself," said Alexis Zimmerman, who was traveling home to New Jersey on a business trip.

The man claimed to be diabetic, said he was going to collapse in 45 minutes, propped his legs up on an arm rest, and would not move.

A United spokesman said that as the crew came over to address the issue, the man became increasingly disruptive. The man believed he deserved an upgrade due to having flight points.

Local law enforcement was alerted, weren't successful in calming the man down, and had to deplane him... along with every other passenger on the plane.

As he was led away the man shouted, "So I succeeded in making you guys waste three and a half hours!"

The crowd responded by chanting "Lock him up!"

The incident has led some online to paint Trump supporters in broad strokes.
