A man is suing a woman for texting during a movie date to a showing of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Brandon Vezmar, 37, filed a petition in a small claims court on Thursday against his date, asking for $17.31, which was the price of a movie ticket to the film's 3D showing.
“It was kind of a first date from hell,” Vezmar said. “This is like one of my biggest pet peeves.”
In his petition, Vezmar claims that the woman activated her phone for the purpose of texting 10 to 20 times in 15 minutes. He asked her to stop, but she refused. He told her maybe she should go outside, at which point she left the theatre and never came back.
Vezmar texted her a few days later asking her to refund him for the price of the ticket. The woman refused. According to the woman, she planned to file for a protective order against Vezmar after he contacted her little sister for the money.
Vezmar started a Twitter thread explaining himself.
I hope that narcissist @BrandonVezmar loses and gets all the negative attention he deserves for trying to control that poor woman— The Woman in Red (@Q5_Prince_Army) May 17, 2017
Vezmar has gotten a lot of hate on social media.
