Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said Tuesday that the scandals emerging from President Trump's White House are reaching "Watergate size and scale," The Hill reported.
McCain was speaking at an International Republican Institute dinner. Many reporters who were in attendance said that McCain compared the issues facing the Trump administration to the scandal that ultimately brought down former President Richard Nixon.

McCain's made this statement just hours after a report that Trump asked former FBI Director James Comey to stop the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn in February.
McCain was also reportedly upset with Russian Foreign Minster Sergey Lavrov being allowed into the Oval Office over Russian abuses.
