Two people were killed when a small plane crashed near New Jersey's Teterboro Airport


UPDATE 4:39 p.m. EST: 

At least two people died in a plane crash near New Jersey's Teterboro Airport on Monday, according to The New York Daily News. Police said two unidentified crew members were on board at the time of the crash.

A small plane crashed Monday afternoon while trying to land at New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport, according to The New York Daily News

The Federal Aviation Administration said a Learjet 35 was traveling from Philadelphia to the New Jersey airport when it crashed about a quarter-mile short of the airport's runway around 3:30 p.m., NBC News reports.

The plane reportedly crashed into a warehouse, Teterboro police told NBC News.

The FAA is headed to the scene and Teterboro Airport has been closed until further notice.

There is no word on injuries at this point.
