ESPN reporter Shelley Smith announced she was feeling OK after being hospitalized following what appears to have been a stroke in the Golden State Warriors' locker room after Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Finals, reports The Washington Post.
Smith texted the Associated Press saying she was OK while fellow ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne tweeted a photo of Smith in the hospital, writing, "Great news on our girl."
Shelley eventually tweeted, letting social media know she was OK.
Smith has a history of health issues. She is a survivor of both a breast cancer diagnosis in 2014 and melanoma. She's been cancer-free since the diagnosis.
“This is what happens,” Smith told the Orange County Register for a story on Mother's Day, “and you just roll with it. It’s a matter of how you turn something that’s crummy into something positive.”
