Nicki Minaj's giving spree isn't over. She's starting a charity to pay off student loans.


Nicki Minaj announced via Instagram plans to launch a charity to help assist those struggling to pay student loan debt. 

Minaj, whose birth name is Onika Maraj, posted a screenshot Friday that described some of the payments she'd made for students in need. In the caption, Minaj said she would "do another impromptu payment spree" in the next few months.

Beyond that, she also announced plans to launch an "official charity" dedicated to helping students with tuition and loan payments. 

The 34-year-old rapper tweeted on May 7, offering to pay the educational costs for some of her followers.

"Show me straight A's that I can verify w/ur school and I'll pay it. Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!" she tweeted. "Dead serious." 

Minaj even agreed to help out with books, supplies and other school fees.
