A mysterious sea creature washed ashore in Indonesia. No, it wasn't Loch Ness

Locals in Indonesia began to circulate videos online of a mysterious sea creature that washed ashore a beach in Maluku, ABC 7 Los Angeles reported. The videos show what appears to be a carcass bleeding, turning the water red near it.

A video shared by the Indonesia Army shows a man describing the creature at length.

"A giant squid has washed ashore in the island of Seram, in Hulung village," the narrator says. "From the looks of it, it's unclear how many people can fit in this creature. If it eats people. This is a rare animal. It's length is more or less 10 meters...," Vice noted.

Lab tests are underway to identify what the creature is. A coordinator of Indonesia's Marine and Coastal Resources Management believes it is a whale.
