LOS ANGELES (CIRCA) — Behold "Mr. Benedict," the bacon-egg-ice-cream sandwich that presents itself as a gift to humanity in the form of breakfast.
It's got all the elements one might look for: runny yolk, giant chunks of candied bacon and ice cream, smashed in between cookies that taste like pancakes and biscuits.
The breakfast ice cream "sammich" is available on weekends at Chunk-N-Chip, a homemade cookie parlor in Santa Ana, California.
Chunk-N-Chip specializes in small-batch cookies with unique flavors like rose almond, lavender honey and brioche with Grand Marnier. It also offers ice cream flavored with guava, goat cheese, horchata, strawberry fig balsamic, etc.
The bakery's sammiches come with warm cookies to complement the ice cream in the middle.
You can also put toppings on your sammiches.
