Elizabeth Warren wondered aloud if the US 'will ever be ready for a male president again'

During a keynote address Wednesday at an EMILY's List gala, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said she wonders if the U.S. will ever have a male president again after President Trump's tenure, The Hill reported

"The news out of the White House just keeps on coming: Bad news, bad news, bad news,” said Warren. "The way that things are going, if the next three years and 261 days are like Donald Trump's first 100 days, I wonder if America will ever be ready for a male president again."

Warren's keynote address centered on her desire to help elect female Democrats who will support abortion rights.

Warren has been on something of a tear against the White House and the Republican-controlled Congress, increasing speculation that she's angling for a presidential bid in 2020. Warren recently launched a cross-country book tour.

Warren's offensive against the White House has won many plaudits on social media.

But not all on Twitter are so thrilled by Warren's comments.
