Police are investigating an incident in which a woman attending a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game at Busch Stadium was hit by a stray bullet, according to the Associated Press. Police said the 34-year-old woman was inside the ballpark on Tuesday when she felt pain in her arm. Following a visit to the first-aid station for treatment, a bullet was later found near her seat.
Police believe the bullet came from outside the stadium.
In a Wednesday statement, the Cardinals said it was aware of the incident.
"There is nothing more important than the safety of our fans, and the Cardinals are grateful that no one was seriously injured," the statement read. "We will be sharing more information with the media as further details emerge."
