Singer Katy Perry is facing backlash for a joke she made during an Instagram Live session.
"Someone says, 'I miss your old black hair,'" Perry, who recently dyed her hair blonde, said in the video. “Oh, do you miss Barack Obama as well? Okay, times change. Bye.”
She then giggled and turned to the others in the car before saying, "I should leave now." Before the video ended, a person off-camera could be heard saying, "Okay, you're cut off."

Many people viewed the remark as racially-insensitive.
“Wow Katy Perry,” one critic tweeted. “The reference to former Pres. Obama was offensive & a poor, tasteless attempt at humor. Your privilege is showing.”
Previously, Perry was a very vocal supporter of President Barack Obama. She even performed at a rally for Obama during his 2012 campaign and has been an anti-Trump critic.
