President Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen said he has told his own attorney to look into legal action against BuzzFeed, The Washington Times reports.
He is also reportedly considering a lawsuit against Christopher Steele, a former British spy who compiled the unverified dossier that included salacious claims involving Trump, including allegations of ties to Russia. The dossier, published by BuzzFeed, claimed Cohen had flown to Prague to discuss covering up the hacking of Democratic Party email servers, which Cohen denied.
Cohen posted a photo of his passport as evidence, claiming he'd never been to Prague.
I believe the entire dossier to be inaccurate, and worse, completely fabricated.
Aleksej Gubarev, CEO of XBT Holding, is suing Steele for defamation after the dossier claimed he ran a hacking operation to flood Democratic networks with porn and surveillance devices.
In March, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said one part of the dossier had been confirmed, but refused to comment on the rest.
