WATCH | Former President Barack Obama gives his first speech since leaving office.
Former President Barack Obama has largely been out of the public eye since leaving office in January. Monday's speech in Chicago breaks that trend.
The Chicago event isn't the only scheduled appearance Obama is expected to make over the next four weeks. He'll also visit Boston for an awards ceremony, deliver private speeches across the U.S., and appear with Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Brandenburg Gate in Germany.
