President Trump has frequently referred to Mar-a-Lago, his club in Palm Beach, Florida, as the "Winter White House." But now a Summer White House may be added to his roster.
South Florida summers are often far too hot and muggy for a relaxing getaway. So Trump will likely make Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, his new weekend getaway of choice, The New York Daily News reports.
Bedminster is about 40 miles west of Midtown Manhattan, home to Trump Tower.

Trump has been criticized for spending many weekends in Florida. The Daily News reports seven of his first 13 full weekends in office were spent in Palm Beach.
We don't want the Bedminster taxpayer taking on an undue burden for that security cost.
Local officials said they're concerned about the cost. Trump visited Bedminster in November to interview prospective Cabinet members. That weekend visit cost nearly $4,000 in police overtime, and 12 weekends in town could cost Bedminster about $300,000, mayor Steve Parker said. The town has a population of roughly 8,300, per the 2000 U.S. Census.

When asked about Trump's use of Mar-a-Lago, administration officials have pointed to the productive work done there, including hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping.
