Frito-Lay, makers of Lay's potato chips, issued a recall after some of their chips' seasonings were contaminated with salmonella.
The recall affects the Jalapeño-Flavored Lay's Kettle-Cooked chips and the Jalapeño-Flavored Miss Vickie's Kettle-Cooked chips and multipacks containing those, according to the Food and Drug Administration's announcement.
No reported illnesses have been linked to the chips, and no other flavors are being recalled.
Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and stomach pain. Young children and the elderly can develop serious and sometimes fatal infections. More information on the recall can be found here.
