Celebrities stood in solidarity with March for Science protesters


As more than 600 cities around the world are hosting March for Science demonstrations, celebrities showed their support for environmentalism in-person as well as virtually. Bill Nye the Science Guy and Peter Capaldi, the current "Doctor Who," may have dominated headlines, but here are a few other notables who stood in solidarity with the marchers. 

Kerry Washington of "Scandal" thanked supporters for standing up for "truth."

George Takei aka Mr. Sulu of "Star Trek" instructed the world to embrace the "truth."

"American Beauty" star Thora Birch wished everyone a Happy Earth Day.

And even Beaker from "The Muppet Show" helped craft some signs.

"Hamilton" creator Liu-Manuel Miranda sent support via his dog.

A rainy D.C. didn't keep Questlove from jamming out.
