The Obamacare fight is back on. A new replacement bill may arrive this week.

Congressional Republicans have reportedly made a breakthrough in health care talks and will present a new bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act "by the weekend," Politico reports.

White House officials said they hope to hold a vote by midweek, before President Trump has been in office for 100 days.

The American Health Care Act, the leading attempt to repeal and replace the ACA, was shot down after the conservative House Freedom Caucus and moderate Republicans could not reconcile political differences.

The compromise bill, according to The Huffington Post, will allow states to get waivers to ignore Obama-era rules that insurance companies can't raise premiums for people with pre-existing conditions. States that do so would have to set up a high-risk pool before doing so.

The compromise also would allow states to get waivers to avoid mandatory prescription drug coverage, pregnancy and mental health services if they could prove it would be beneficial.

The bill comes with the hard deadline of a possible government shutdown looming. Additionally, Trump has threatened to cut off payments that make Obamacare subsidies possible to force Democrats to negotiate.
