Julia Roberts was named People's 2017 World's Most Beautiful Woman, the fifth time she has claimed the title.
The 49-year-old actress first earned the title in 1991 after her appearance in "Pretty Woman" and repeated in 2000, 2005 and 2010.
However, many on Twitter were quick to criticize the magazine for choosing Roberts again instead of a minority celebrity.
No one else has earned the Sexiest Man Alive or Most Beautiful Woman title more than twice. Michelle Pfeiffer and Jennifer Aniston are the only other female repeat winners. George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp have won twice.
I'm going to mention that in my Christmas card to the Clooneys this year.
Roberts joked about her dominance of the list in her interview with People.
Julia Roberts is The Most Beautiful Woman? Priyanka Chopra, Janelle Monae, Blake Lively could have easily gotten that title.— Veronica Carrington (@TanyaMiecy) April 19, 2017
But some critics accused the magazine of slighting minorities.
Julia Roberts is named 'World's Most Beautiful Woman' by People 😂😂 What you expect from a white magazine 💀💀— K'Dione (@2deep4_an_intro) April 19, 2017
Okay, so already seeing racist comments being made by people against Julia Roberts, saying a white woman doesn't deserve it. Can we not?— Reindeer (@PeeWeeInATeePee) April 19, 2017
But others argued the criticism was unfair.
