Totally rad snowboarding at California's Bear Mountain Resort in record breaking snow

Bear Mountain Resort is located two hours east of Los Angeles in the San Bernardino National Forest.

Big Bear Lake, CA has received a record setting amount of snow this winter season in Southern California.  Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are the two ski resorts in Big Bear Lake that offer the best slopes around the greater Los Angeles area.

An average amount of snowfall for Big Bear Mountain Resort is roughly 100 inches per season.  By January 19th of 2017, the reported snowfall had already reached 110 inches. Both ski mountains are managed by Mammoth Resorts.

Bear Mountain is known for its innovative terrain parks, and is considered the home base mountain for legendary snowboarder Shaun White.  In January 2016, Shaun White secured a deal to become part owner of Mammoth Resorts with the intention of overseeing Bear Mountain and Snow Summit operations.
