Tye Trujillo is more metal than you.
He's Korn's new bassist, and he's the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. He's also 12 years old.
He's filling in for Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, whom the band announced Saturday won't make part of the band's South American tour due to "unforeseen circumstances."
Here's Korn's announcement.
WATCH | In case you were wondering, Trujillo didn't just get in on name alone. He can lay down a groove, as seen in this footage of him playing with his band the Helmets. He's the one wearing blue.
The kid must be a good bass player but come on guys this is not a birthday party...
The comments on Korn's announcement were split. Some fans were furious that Korn, who rarely tours South America, were willing to come with less than the full lineup.
Y'all are crying like little babies I bet that 12 year old is more of an adult than all you ...
Others were willing to give Trujillo a chance.
He certainly looks like he belongs in the band.
