Delta Airlines buys 700 pizzas for customers after cancelling 300 flights

Delta Airlines is trying to keep customers happy after having to cancel 300 flights across the Southeast on Wednesday.  The weather-related cancellations resulted in lots of stranded folks. So how do you keep irritated customers happy?

With pizza, duh.

The airline ordered around 700 pies at airports in Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Ohio, Kentucky and elsewhere. Passengers took to twitter to voice their appreciation for the good deed.

We empower our agents and airport station leaders to find ways to take care of our customers when irregular operations disrupt travel.
Michael Thomas, Delta Spokesperson told ABC News

Delta has been known to offer free food in situations like this. In the past, they've ordered pizza and donuts when large weather-related outages affected thousands of stranded customers.
