Justin Trudeau challenged Matthew Perry to a rematch of their elementary school fight

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau challenged former "Friends" star Matthew Perry to a rematch of their elementary school fight.

"I've been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn't wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch @MatthewPerry?" Trudeau tweeted on April Fool's Day. Perry played Chandler Bing on the NBC sitcom "Friends."

Matthew Perry Beat Up Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Perry revealed on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last month that when he was in fifth grade, he and a classmate "beat up" Trudeau.

"We both beat him up. I think he was excelling in a sport that we weren't, so it was pure jealousy," Perry admitted to Kimmel.

Although Trudeau's tweet may have been an all-in-good-fun April Fool's joke, Perry turned down the challenge Sunday.

"I think I will pass at your request for a rematch kind sir (given that you currently have an army at your disposal)," Perry replied.
