A 25-year-old Indonesian man has been swallowed whole by a python on the island of Sulawesi, according to the Associated Press. A six-minute video on the website of the Tribun Timur publication shows villagers slicing the python's carcass to reveal the legs and the torso of the dead victim named Akbar.
It's common in Indonesia to only use one name.

The secretary of Salubiro village in West Sulawesi province said that villagers began looking for Akbar after he hadn't returned from working on his palm oil crops the day prior. The search brought them to a scattered palm oil fruit, where they noticed a picking tool, a boot and a 23-foot reticulated python.
Reticulated pythons grab onto their prey with dozens of sharp curved teeth and then squeeze it to death before swallowing it whole.
Reports of humans being killed by pythons are rare, as they're known to eat monkeys, pigs and other mammals.
