UPDATE 11:06 a.m.:
Anthony Weiner, when asked by a New York Post reporter on Monday if he was back together with Huma Abedin, deflected the question, saying, "I don't have anything for you today."
The Post previously reported that his wife, longtime Hillary Clinton advisor Huma Abedin, was "working hard" on her marriage to Weiner.
ORIGINAL STORY: Huma Abedin, a top advisor to Hillary Clinton, is reportedly "working hard" on her marriage to former congressman Anthony Weiner after the two separated last year, the New York Post reports.
The two split after Weiner was caught sending yet another sext to another woman, this time with his sleeping son in the photo. Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after a sexting scandal and has been entangled in similar scandals multiple times since then. At one point, emails on his laptop led to a brief reopening of the Clinton email scandal.
Weiner has been spending "80 to 90 percent" of his time in their shared apartment, the Post reports. An anonymous source said the split was mostly due to "optics for the [Clinton] campaign."
A lot of [their] friends believe this is an illness, that he is sick.
Weiner checked himself into a rehab facility for sex addiction in November, a few months after the separation.
An Abedin representative denied that the two were attempting to reconcile.
Some thought getting back together would be a bad idea.
Don't come for Huma Abedin in my mentions. He is the father of her child and she is finding her way. I've been there. Be kind.— Sarah (From Here) (@sarahwhelmed) March 26, 2017
