"Cash Cab" is coming back to TV, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The popular trivia show featured host Ben Bailey driving an ordinary-looking cab around New York City, putting unwitting guests on the spot but threatening to kick them out if they got three questions wrong. It won three Emmys during its run from 2005 to 2012.
The new seasons, set to arrive later this year, will feature Hollywood stars as the drivers/hosts. A host has not been named for the new run. Ben Bailey hosted the original.
The show will air on Discovery Channel. Comedian David Steinberg, of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Seinfeld" and "Mad About You" fame will be the executive producer.
It's one of many game shows to get a recent reboot. "The Gong Show" was recently relaunched on ABC, and "Battle of the Network Stars" and "Love Connection" are all on the way, THR reports.
Fans of the show were ecstatic.
But others, assuming Bailey wouldn't return, weren't satisfied.
