Joe Biden met a golden retriever puppy named Biden. The love was mutual from the onset.

Former Vice President Joe Biden made a new furry friend named Biden on Wednesday while celebrating the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act on Capitol Hill. Biden, a four-month-old golden retriever puppy, posed with the former public servant, and he didn't hesitate to share some sloppy kisses, Buzzfeed reported.

“As soon as I told him his name was Biden, he started kissing the dog, which is like exactly what I expected Biden would do,” said the dog's owner, Sydney, who declined to share her last name.

Sydney said in an interview with Buzzfeed News that she chose to name her puppy Biden because "he is probably my favorite politician and favorite elected official."

She added, “I really respect Joe Biden even though I don’t necessarily align with him politically.”

“As soon as he saw the dog during the actual speech, he pointed at the dog, tapped his friend and then started like cracking up. Right towards the end, I, like, kind of signaled him, and he, like, gave me a wink to come over,” Sydney continued.

From the looks of pup's personal Instagram account, he's a frequent visitor to Capitol Hill.

Look again. Ed Sheeran shares an uncanny resemblance with this 2-year old British girl.
