Seven people were injured in an ax attack Thursday at Dusseldorf's main train station, police in Germany said. Three of the seven were severely injured, CNN reported. The suspect was arrested after jumping off an overpass.
"A suspect tried to flee and was injured as well," said an unnamed spokesman who briefed reporters. Two women were among the injured, though, no fatalities have been reported.

Police believe the suspect to be a 36-year-old man who lives in Wuppertal. Officials believe the man to have mental problems and to have acted alone.
The motive for the attack remains unclear, but law enforcement officials are not describing it as relating to terrorism.
The station remained closed late Thursday as investigators continue to evaluate the scene.
