Rumor has it Adele is a married woman, but over the weekend the singer finally confirmed that during a concert in Brisbane, Australia.
Adele confirmed that she tied the knot with her longtime partner, Simon Konecki, while explaining the writing process and the reactions she received after playing her hit "Someone Like You" for friends and family for the first time.
“I could see in their eyes as they were listening to it on their headphones that it reminded them of something or someone,” Adele told the audience. “That’s what I wanted to remember, how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record.”
"Because as bad as a break-up can be and as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling. Obviously, I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person."
Last December the singer first sparked rumors that she and Konecki had wed when she was spotted wearing a gold wedding band. The couple reportedly got engaged in October 2016.
Adele seemed to confirm the rumors during her Grammy Awards acceptance speech for Album of the Year last month
"My husband, my son, you're the only reason I do it," she said during the acceptance speech.
Then backstage the singer referred to Konecki as her partner, adding to the confusion.
Adele and Konecki have been together since 2011 and have a 4-year-old son together.
