Police stopped a car in Brussels that was reportedly full of explosive gas canisters


Belgian police sealed off part of central Brussels after police found a car had several canisters of explosive gas, Reuters reported.

Officers saw the car run several red lights, a local spokeswoman police said. After seeing the canisters, the bomb squad was called. Local broadcaster RTL reported three canisters had been removed.

Brussels is still on high alert after a deadly ISIS attack at its airport killed 32 people on March 22.

In a similar incident, a man was caught driving the wrong way on Spain's Ronda Litoral highway in a truck full of gas canisters. Police shot the truck, injuring the driver and arresting him, according to the Daily Star.
