Severe thunderstorms rolled through the D.C. area Wednesday, mostly causing structural damage to houses and power lines, WJLA reported.
Deadly tornadoes ravaged parts of the Midwest Tuesday night, leaving at least three dead in Illinois and dozens more injured in nearby states, the Associated Press reported. In Tennessee, thousands of people were left without power after 70 mph winds were reported during severe storms, according to affiliate Fox 17 news.

Four were injured after a tornado hit Arkansas, KATV reported. Authorities estimated that roughly 30 to 40 homes were damaged.
The storms traveled all the way to Ohio, too. The National Weather Service reported tornadic activity, but its intensity has yet to be determined.
Earlier this week, parts of Harrisburg and Lancaster experienced straight-line winds up to 95 mph.
