By this point, you probably know all about the biggest mistake at the Oscars presentation Sunday night. But this mistake might have flown under your radar.
The "In Memoriam" segment featured costume designer Janet Patterson, a four-time Oscar nominee who worked on "Portrait of a Lady" and "The Piano," among others. The problem is, the presentation showed a photo of Jan Chapman, who is still alive.
A few eagle-eyed observers caught the mistake.
I am alive and well and an active producer.
"I was devastated by the use of my image in place of my great friend and long-time collaborator Janet Patterson," Chapman told Variety.
Chapman is one of the best-known Australian film producers, Variety reports.
The segment also drew heat for failing to include celebrities like Florence Henderson, though she was better known for their TV careers than film stardom. Bill Paxton was not included, but was mentioned by presenter Jennifer Aniston.
