The White House blocked CNN, New York Times and others from media briefing

Several news organizations including CNN, New York Times and LA Times were denied entry to a White House briefing on Friday. No reason has been given.

According to CNN, which Trump dubbed the "Clinton News Network" at a conservative news conference this afternoon, BuzzFeed and Politico were also denied entry.

Outlets picked to attend the smaller, off-camera briefing known as a "gaggle," included Breitbart and Washington Times.

Other outlets reportedly were allowed entry, but did not go, because they chose to boycott.

The White House Correspondents Association released a statement.
