Do you love Pop-Tarts enough to eat them in pizza or chili fries form?
Kellogg's is banking that at least some people are. It's turning its cereal bar in New York City into a "Pop-Tarts Café" through Sunday, turning the iconic breakfast pastries into a series of bizarre food creations.
On the menu: a "pizza" with a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop-Tart crust, strawberry filling and dried fruit as "pepperoni, crepe-like "burritos" made from three Pop-Tart flavors, and mock "chili fries."
That doesn't sound much like breakfast food. Fittingly, the café will serve the Pop-Tart creations from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. But they won't come cheap, with some dishes costing as much as $12.
The cafe will also serve Pop-Tart based milkshakes, cheesecakes and tacos (here's the full menu). Back in 2010, another Pop-Tarts cafe sold sushi, s'mores and cobblers based on the breakfast pastry, This Is New York reports.
Some thought they were up to the challenge.
