Boston police built a condo for a stray feline they've dubbed 'SWAT Cat'

The Boston Police Department has taken extreme measures to ensure their unofficial mascot stays cozy during the winter months.

Officers have been feeding and taking care of an adorable stray Calico, affectionately dubbed SWAT Cat, since she showed up at the department's Special Weapons and Tactics base in 2013, according to the Boston Police Department's website

Now, SWAT Cat has a place to call her own thanks to Officer Jamie Pietroski.

The department's website says Pietroski stayed late for several nights building SWAT Cat's swanky new kitty condo.

"The condo features a spacious studio interior layout, a large deck for outdoor dining and glass sliding doors offering panoramic city views," the department's website explains. "SWAT Cat moved right in and looks very happy with her new custom kitty accommodations."

The timing worked out perfectly because the area was recently hit with a snow storm.

The department noted that SWAT Cat quickly settled into her new home.
