WATCH | Here's the story behind McDonald's newest straw.
First it was all-day breakfast. Then it was five new Shamrock Shake flavors. Now, there's the Suction Tube for Reverse Axial Withdrawal (aka the "straw") meant to enjoy shakes with multiple layers and flavors, according to a Thursday statement. Let's just say McDonald's is amping its game up in recent months.
The J-shaped straw, which features two holes, was designed so customers could taste two flavors at once.
Here's a review.
Customers who purchase a chocolate Shamrock Shake at participating locations will receive one of the limited-edition straws on a first come, first serve basis.
Participating locations include select chains in Alabama, California, Georgia, Idaho, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Pennsylvania.
But, for those who aren't near any of those chains, McDonald's said there will be opportunity for people to win one of the coveted straws. The company said to keep an eye out on McDonald's Facebook page and local McDonald's Twitter accounts.
