A few days after Toner Doll Company debuted what it believes is the first transgender doll to hit the market, American Girl dolls unveiled the company's first boy character in addition to a new lineup of diverse girl dolls, affiliate KIMA TV reported.
Logan Everett, a drummer, is the newest 18-inch doll to join the American Girl doll collection.

A company spokesperson said that the boy character is the result of many requests they've received throughout the years.
"We're hopeful Logan will appeal to both girls and boys . . . For boys, we know Logan can speak directly to them and give them something unique and special to call their own," spokesperson Stephanie Spanos said.
The company was keen to note that Logan is not dating another new doll named Tenney Grant--a budding Western singer and bandmate of Logan's. He is expected to debut on Thursday.
