Starbucks will start serving ice cream this week. Say hello to the 'affogato.'

Starbucks is adding ice cream to the menu. No, this isn't a Dunkin' Donuts-Baskin Robbins-style collaboration.

Starbucks is adding affogatos to the menu this week, Business Insider reports. It will only appear at its upscale Reserve locations in Los Angeles, Boston and Washington, D.C.

If you've never heard of an affogato, it's an Italian dessert made by pouring a shot of espresso on top of a scoop of ice cream. Starbucks will sell a "classic" version for $6 and a "Cold Brew Malt" for $8.50.

If you're lucky enough to be in California, 100 locations are also selling affogatos that max out at $6.40 since they don't use small-batch brews.

This is separate from the Affogato-style Frappuccino that's already on the menu.

Starbucks is launching voice ordering though its iPhone app. Starting Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, anyone with a device that has an Amazon device with Alexa, like the Echo smart speaker, is able to place a Starbucks order by just using their voice. Starbucks is also launching a beta test of voice ordering through its iPhone app. The Seattle-based coffee giant says the feature is being rolled out to a limited group of 1,000 people nationwide Monday. This is part of a push from Starbucks to incorporate more drinks from Roastery, a higher-end coffee chain, into the everyday locations.
