An unidentified person has allegedly stolen thousands of rounds of ammunition from a locked building at Oregon's Crater Lake National Park on Thursday, the Register-Guard reported. The ammunition was used in part of the park's law enforcement program.
The theft of the pistol and rifle ammunition is classified as a felony.
Investigators are asking those with any information to contact the Investigative Services Branch by phone, text, website, email or social media.
"Though you may remain anonymous, investigators are offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the identification arrest, and conviction of those responsible," the National Park Service wrote.
