These lovebirds tied the knot at a cruising altitude of 36,000 feet

WATCH |  What better way to celebrate the biggest day of your life than above the clouds?  This frequent flyer couple tied the knot while on an airplane ride from Cincinnati to Washington, DC and had what might be the ultimate airport travel themed wedding.

We wanted to do this because we love to travel and we're particularly crazy about Delta. We were happy, everything got done just the way we had hoped.
Ken Nilsen

Ken and Tracy Nilsen are self described avid travelers, who have journeyed across the world to places like New Zealand, South Africa and Paris. They say Delta was a favorite airline, so they inquired about making that terminal their venue. The company was happy to oblige.

15 guests and 54 strangers participated in the "ceremony in the sky." Each seat contained "barf bags" and "paper airplanes" with ceremony details listed on them.

Once they landed, Ken and Tracy were adorned unlike any other newly weds, with a rose petal lined runway aisle, passengers and friends blowing bubbles at them and airport transportation courtesy of a motorized airport cart.

Delta airlines was "on board" with the idea and  jumped in on the fun.
