UPDATE 8:16 a.m. Feb. 6:
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer responded to Melissa McCarthy's portrayal of him on "Saturday Night Live," calling the skit "cute" and "funny."
"It's a part of American culture," Spicer said in a "Fox & Friends" interview.
Here's the interview.
"Saturday Night Live" has been skewering President Trump since early on in the campaign trail. That hasn't changed. But Melissa McCarthy's surprise appearance as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer might have managed to be even funnier on Saturday's show, hosted by Kristen Stewart.
McCarthy mocked Spicer's often-intense press briefings, yelling at a crowd of reporters for the skit.

SNL also featured Steve Bannon, who looked an awful lot like the Grim Reaper.
But McCarthy's skit stole the show.
