WATCH | Amid a report that Tom Brady's mother Galynn has been battling illness for more than a year, the New England Patriots quarterback revealed she hasn't attended a Pats game in months.
"My mom hasn't been to a game this season," Brady said at a recent Super Bowl LI press conference. A source told CSN New England's Tom E. Curran that Galynn endured "health issues for the past 18 months," causing a "major source of concern."
The good news, according to Curran's source, is she's been "doing much better recently."
Tom said his dad, Tom Sr., only attended one game this season, but both parents should be in the stands Sunday: "They're going to be here this weekend, which I'm excited about, and [it will] be nice to see everybody. I got a big crew coming."
At an earlier Super Bowl LI media event, Tom choked up while stating Tom Sr. is "my hero."
On Mother's Day, Brady's public Facebook page thanked his mom for being "always by my side."
The previous Father's Day, Brady shared an old photo of his dad dressed as Santa Claus.
