Martellus Bennett said he'll skip the White House visit after the Patriots' Super Bowl win

Martellus Bennett confirmed he would not visit the White House during the team's customary visit as Super Bowl champions, The Boston Globe reports

He said he wasn't worried of what Patriots owner Robert Kraft thought of his decision, saying the team believes in "whatever I want to do."

Speaking to the media on Monday, New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett said if his New England Patriots win Super Bowl LI, he would "likely" skip the traditional White House visit because he doesn't support President Trump.

Bennett may be the first pro athlete to openly acknowledge the possibility of declining Trump's invitation to the White House, Business Insider reports.

Bennett criticized Trump's travel ban on Twitter on Sunday.
